Unlike generic software platforms built from the outside in, Builder Pipeline was designed by people who live and breathe the building materials business. Co-founders—and cousins—Matt Martino and Peggy Dowell combined their real-world industry experience to create a platform that solves the operational challenges installers and suppliers face every day.
Their shared perspective shaped Builder Pipeline around the practical, day-to-day needs of the construction supply chain:

Meet the Founders
Matt Martino — Founder & CEO
Matt Martino has spent over 20 years in the building materials industry. His career began in 2006 as an outside architectural sales representative for Doralco, a manufacturer of ACM systems, sunshades, grillework, and entrance metal systems.
In 2010, he joined Kingspan Group as a Midwest architectural sales rep for Benchmark by Kingspan, managing both architectural promotion and direct sales of insulated metal panels. Four years later, he was promoted to VP of Sales & Marketing at Morin Corporation, another Kingspan company, where he helped modernize the company’s pricing and sales systems.
In 2018, Matt founded Blue Line Building Products, an independent rep agency specializing in architectural building envelope solutions and design-assist sales support. Blue Line partners with architects, contractors, and developers to ensure every project uses the right product for the right application — no hard selling, just expert guidance backed by decades of experience.
Through years of working on both the manufacturing and sales sides, Matt saw the same challenge repeated:
the quoting and ordering process was slow, inconsistent, and full of friction.
That realization became the seed for Builder Pipeline — a digital platform built to solve the industry’s biggest operational bottlenecks by giving installers and suppliers a shared system built around speed, accuracy, and communication.
Peggy Dowell — Co-Founder & COO
Peggy Dowell brings more than 20 years of combined experience in technology, operations, and construction to her role as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Builder Pipeline.
Before joining Builder Pipeline, Peggy spent nearly 14 years at Solstice (later Kin + Carta), where she helped scale the company from startup through global acquisition. During her tenure, she played a key role in regional and international operations, client finance, contract negotiations, workforce planning, and served as product owner for internal business systems. Her leadership supported multiple acquisitions and major integration initiatives as the organization expanded worldwide.
Prior to her time in technology, Peggy spent six years in construction accounting with a large glass and glazing subcontractor — giving her a firsthand understanding of the challenges contractors face in project management, billing, and vendor coordination. During that time, she also earned her MBA with an emphasis in Accounting from Loyola University Chicago in 2011.
In early 2024, after leaving Kin + Carta, Peggy was approached by Matt Martino to take on a part-time role at Blue Line Building Products, managing Inside Sales and Operations while leading a special initiative that would evolve into Builder Pipeline.
Recognizing that her construction background and enterprise-scale tech experience were the perfect complement to Matt’s deep industry expertise, Peggy joined as Co-Founder to help bring Builder Pipeline to life — combining her operational precision and product mindset with his vision for transforming how installers and suppliers do business.

- The supplier prices it, returns it to the rep, who forwards it back to the customer.
